Jonathan J. Einhorn practices in New Haven, Connecticut, close to the federal and state courthouses. He has been a practicing attorney for almost 50 years and is licensed to practice in Connecticut courts, in U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit in New York City and in the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Einhorn attended New Haven Public Schools and graduated from Amherst College with a B.A. degree in 1970 and graduated from the University Of Connecticut School of Law with a J.D. degree in 1973. He has been active in the community, serving on nearly every city board or commission, including the Police Commission for nine years and the Board of Aldermen for 16 years. He is a justice of the peace and often services as a special master in both the federal and state courts. He often lectures lawyers on issues pertaining to trial practice. Mr. Einhorn’s jury trial experience enables him to pursue the most advantageous outcome for the injured, the wronged and the accused. Mr. Einhorn understands how to navigate the court system on behalf of clients in the three seats of the district court: Bridgeport, New Haven and Hartford. He is often called upon to assist other attorneys in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, as local counsel or general counsel for civil or criminal matters.

He often instructs young lawyers in trial procedures and other aspects of a sophisticated civil and criminal litigation law practice. His community service and professional work have included service as a member of the New Haven Board of Police Commissioners and president of Eli Youth Lacrosse, Inc.
